WCL Adasa Tender: Revolutionizing UG to OC Mining

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has issued a tender for handling, transportation, and allied mining services at the Adasa Underground (UG) to Opencast (OC) mine in the Nagpur area.

The scope of work includes overburden (OB) removal, coal extraction, handling and transportation, as well as hoisting and excavation (HoE) activities. The contract will be awarded for a 24-month period, with bidders invited to submit percentage-based quotes for the specified mining services.

The project is expected to enhance operational efficiency at the Adasa mine by ensuring smooth extraction and movement of coal and other materials. A subsidiary of Coal India Limited, Western Coalfields continues to invest in modernising its mining infrastructure to meet rising regional coal demand.

Interested bidders must submit their proposals by the bid closing date of 4 February 2026.
