The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has selected an agency to prepare the master plan for the proposed Hathras Urban City, planned over 4,000 hectares along the Yamuna Expressway.
Telangana-based Aarvee Engineering Consultants has been appointed through a competitive bidding process, having submitted the lowest bid of ₹1.25 crore. The firm will be tasked with preparing the Master Plan 2041, including detailed proposals on land use, population density, and urban infrastructure. While the overall planning area is envisaged between 2,000 and 4,000 hectares, the final extent will be determined during the initial phase of the project.
The master plan will be developed in accordance with the Urban and Regional Development Plans Formulation and Implementation (URDPFI) guidelines, the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act, and other applicable regulations. It will also evaluate the region’s carrying capacity, with emphasis on industrial development, infrastructure requirements, natural resources, and environmental sustainability.
Hathras Urban City forms part of the second phase of the Yamuna Expressway Master Plan, which also includes Aligarh, Mathura, and Agra.
