NABARD & CSIR-CFTRI: Sowing Seeds of Agri-Innovation

NABARD and CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) to bolster Karnataka’s agro-food processing ecosystem. Focused on the Kalyana Karnataka region—spanning Bidar, Yadgir, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Koppal, Ballari, and Vijayanagara—the partnership aims to empower Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and rural entrepreneurs. By combining NABARD’s rural development backing with CSIR-CFTRI's food technology expertise, the initiative delivers advanced technology transfer, process standardisation, and quality assurance to strengthen agricultural value chains and drive rural economic growth.
