Mizoram Goes Luxury: First 4-Star Hotel Coming to Aizawl

Big changes are coming to Mizoram’s tourism scene! The state government has teamed up with the renowned Hotel Polo Towers Group to redevelop the iconic Chaltlang Tourist Lodge into Aizawl's very first four-star (and potentially five-star) luxury hotel.

This landmark Public-Private Partnership (PPP) was finalized at the Chief Minister’s Office following a competitive bidding process. Under a long-term 30-year agreement, Hotel Polo Towers will design, build, finance, and operate the modern property before eventually transferring it back to the state.

Travel and business guests can look forward to a stunning new property featuring an initial 60 premium rooms, top-tier restaurants, a relaxing lounge, a fully equipped gym, and a wellness spa. The project represents a massive leap forward in welcoming global travelers and showcasing the best of Mizoram's world-class hospitality.
