Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts has announced that its upcoming Taj Yelahanka hotel in Bengaluru is progressing as planned and is expected to commence operations by September 2026, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Located in North Bengaluru, one of the city’s fastest-growing business and infrastructure corridors, the hotel will feature 256 luxury rooms and is being developed to cater to rising demand from corporate travellers, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) events, and the expanding leisure tourism market. The project represents a significant addition to the company’s hospitality portfolio and forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key urban markets across India.
In addition to the existing three-acre development site, Taj GVK owns an adjoining four-acre land parcel that could be utilised for a future Phase II expansion. The proposed expansion has the potential to transform the property into a major hospitality destination in the Yelahanka region, further enhancing its capacity to serve business and leisure travellers.
The hotel is strategically positioned to benefit from North Bengaluru’s rapid emergence as a major commercial, technology, aerospace, and infrastructure hub, supported by growing investments in connectivity, business parks, and urban development projects. Its location is expected to provide convenient access to key commercial districts, the airport, and other important destinations across the city.
Joint Managing Director Krishna Bhupal highlighted the significance of the project in expanding the company’s room inventory and supporting its long-term growth plans. With a portfolio that includes prominent hospitality assets in Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, and Bengaluru, Taj GVK continues to strengthen its presence in India’s premium hospitality segment while capitalising on increasing demand for high-quality accommodation and event infrastructure.
