Aerolloy Fires Up World-Class Titanium Production in India

Aerolloy Technologies, a subsidiary of PTC Industries, has commissioned a cutting-edge Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) 400 furnace at its aerospace precision castings facility in the UP Defence Industrial Corridor, Lucknow.

This development places Aerolloy among just two companies worldwide capable of producing large investment castings in both Titanium alloys and Superalloys. Building on its recent installation of a Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace for Superalloy castings, the new VAR furnace significantly enhances the company's capabilities in strategic materials manufacturing.

Aerolloy can now produce some of the world’s largest titanium castings—vital components for next-generation aero engines such as fan hub frames and turbine rear frames—as well as for industrial gas turbines. These capabilities also serve applications across aircraft, submarines, artillery systems, strategic defence platforms, and space missions.

This rare and specialised capacity strengthens India’s self-reliance in critical aerospace and defence technologies while supporting global demand for advanced materials.
