Kolkata-based Manaksia Steels is scaling up its manufacturing operations in Haldia, West Bengal, through an Rs 800 crore investment rolled out in two phases. Spearheaded by Managing Director Varun Agrawal, the project allocates Rs 400 crore to each phase to ramp up production of high-value specialty steel, specifically cold-rolled coils and coated steel products. To fast-track this industrial footprint expansion, the company has sought targeted policy backing from the state government.
