Big Win for Odisha Industry: IMFA’s Kalinganagar Plant is Live!

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has officially inaugurated IMFA’s new greenfield ferro chrome facility in Kalinganagar. Equipped with two 33 MVA submerged arc furnaces built since May 2025, the project expands IMFA’s total capacity to 5.34 lakh tonnes per annum—solidifying its position as India's leading producer of value-added ferro chrome. The project will create approximately 1,500 direct and indirect jobs in the state. IMFA MD Subhrakant Panda called the launch a pivotal strategic milestone to strengthen the company’s domestic and global market presence.
