Calderys has commissioned a new basic monolithics production line at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Odisha.
The expansion strengthens the company’s presence in India and neighbouring markets, particularly in the iron and steel sectors. This new line complements the acidic monolithics unit commissioned earlier this year. Spread across 45 acres, the facility will eventually house six production lines catering to industries such as steel, cement, and petrochemicals.
The Odisha plant is expected to reduce import dependence, generate employment, and reinforce local supply chains. Michel Cornelissen, President and CEO of Calderys, described the project as a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy. Full-scale production is slated to begin in late 2026, supporting India’s drive toward self-reliance in advanced materials and contributing to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.
