Nidec Global Appliance has entered a major construction phase for its new manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
The project, backed by an investment of more than USD 120 million, remains on track to produce initial samples of Embraco compressors by the final quarter of 2026. With foundation work completed, construction teams have moved to the installation of steel structures and pre-engineered systems.
Spread across more than 100,000 square metres, the integrated facility will have an annual production capacity of six million compressors. The plant will manufacture four Embraco compressor families — ES, EL, FMS and VLT — along with advanced electronic inverter systems designed to improve energy efficiency and optimisation. The site will also include dedicated research and development operations focused on manufacturing optimisation.
The facility will integrate stamping, machining, motor manufacturing, electronics production and final assembly operations under one roof. Once operational, the project is expected to generate around 1,500 direct jobs and 800 indirect employment opportunities, strengthening the region’s industrial ecosystem.
