UltraTech’s Rs 2,650 Crore Green Milestone

UltraTech Cement has marked a major milestone in its manufacturing expansion with the commissioning of the Petnikota Cement Works in Kolimigundla mandal, Andhra Pradesh. Built with an outlay of roughly Rs 2,650 crore, the project was brought online a mere 14 months after construction began in May 2025.

Designed for high efficiency and sustainability, the integrated plant operates entirely on green energy and incorporates advanced industrial technologies such as automated quality control, real-time process monitoring, and RFID-based logistics management. Beyond reinforcing UltraTech’s footprint in Andhra Pradesh, the facility is poised to serve as an economic catalyst for the Rayalaseema region, generating over 2,650 direct and indirect jobs.
