Assam’s Mega Boost: ₹2,100Cr Aerotropolis & Taj Hotel Cleared

The Assam Cabinet has approved key initiatives, including ₹2,100 crore for the first phase of the Guwahati Aerotropolis Satellite City, a Taj Gateway Hotel at Jagiroad, and ₹118.58 crore for the Jibon Prerana Scheme to support graduates. Other measures include extending identity enrolment relaxations until March 2027, zero agricultural tax for small tea growers, mandatory post-appointment police checks for government jobs, and ₹450 crore in funding for the Bodoland Territorial Council.
