Avantel 2.0: New Hyderabad Facility Opens for Defence Tech

Avantel, a leading player in satellite communications and defence electronics, has inaugurated its second facility in Hyderabad, significantly enhancing its aerospace and defence manufacturing capabilities.

The new facility spans 76,000 sq. ft. and is focused on the design, development, and production of advanced systems including software-defined radios (SDRs), radar systems, and satellite integration platforms. Developed with an investment of over ₹56 crore, the facility aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reinforcing Avantel’s commitment to indigenous technology development.

Key features of the unit include:

Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) of satellites, Development of Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) to enable real-time satellite data reception, Advanced infrastructure to support R&D and prototyping in aerospace and defence domains

This strategic expansion is expected to generate over 300 direct jobs and create more than 1,000 indirect employment opportunities in Telangana, contributing to regional economic growth and India’s self-reliance in critical technologies.
