The Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC) has invited bids for the construction of the Ganga Path, a vital road corridor linking Safiabad in Munger to Sultanganj via Bariyarpur and Ghorghat. The project will be implemented under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) with an estimated cost of ₹4,006.88 crore.
Designed to enhance regional connectivity, the Ganga Path will connect key towns such as Munger and Sultanganj—both significant for their historical, religious, and economic importance. The new corridor is expected to boost trade, tourism, and daily commuter access while providing a reliable, all-weather route. This is especially critical during the monsoon season when riverbank areas often face accessibility challenges.
Once completed, the road will significantly reduce travel time and play a key role in Bihar’s broader initiative to modernize its transport infrastructure and promote socio-economic development in riverine and interior regions.
The deadline for bid submission is 4 September 2025.
