Dulloo to NHLML: Accelerate Ropeways, Logistics Hubs in J&K

On November 5, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review meeting to evaluate the progress of major infrastructure projects undertaken by the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML).

The discussion focused on the Parvatmala Scheme ropeway projects, the Inter Modal Station (IMS) at Katra, and the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Jammu—all pivotal initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity, logistics efficiency, and tourism.

Chief Secretary Dulloo underscored the significance of the ropeway projects, noting that bids have been invited for preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for seven Public-Private Partnership (PPP)-based ropeway projects. He stressed the need to expedite the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to initiate DPR activities, including topographical and geo-technical surveys and demand assessments.

The meeting also reviewed progress on the IMS at Katra and MMLP Jammu, with directions to accelerate work on financial models, land acquisition, and DPR preparation to ensure timely implementation.
