After months of stagnation, the Ejipura flyover project in Bengaluru is finally gaining momentum, with 63.5% of the work now completed.
The 2.5-km flyover, which includes ramps at both ends, has reached nearly two-thirds completion. Segment casting is almost finished, with 584 of 764 segments prepared, and ramp installation is underway. Footpath construction is 90% complete and expected to be finished within two months. Officials noted that all segments are ready for placement, with preparations ongoing at the Sakalavara Bannerghatta Road casting yard to speed up installation.
The project had stalled after the termination of Simplex Infrastructure’s contract in 2022 and was reassigned to BSCPCL in November 2023. With a revised budget of Rs 176 crore, the flyover is scheduled for completion by June 2026, aiming to ease traffic congestion between Koramangala and the Inner Ring Road. Ministers are now reviewing progress every two weeks.
