The long-standing demand of Mysuru residents for a flyover at the Manipal Hospital Junction on the Bengaluru–Mysuru Highway is set to be fulfilled, with the construction process officially commencing on January 20.
The development follows the issuance of a formal approval order by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project gained momentum after sustained efforts by Mysuru Member of Parliament Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who consistently pursued the matter with senior NHAI officials, including Chief Engineer Umashankar.
In a statement, MP Wadiyar noted that the flyover at Kempegowda Circle was approved after multiple representations and meetings with NHAI, reflecting the long-standing public demand. He подчеркed that the project would help reduce accidents, ease traffic congestion, and cut travel time, thereby improving connectivity to and from Mysuru. He also confirmed that he had met NHAI officials in New Delhi to ensure the project’s swift implementation.
