Finolex Cables is aiming to generate ₹1,000 crore in revenue from Tamil Nadu in the upcoming fiscal year, supported by the State’s growing industrial base and increased investments in data centres and infrastructure.
Currently, Tamil Nadu contributes around ₹750 crore to the company’s turnover, making it its largest market in southern India. According to Amit Mathur, President – Sales & Marketing at Finolex Cables, the region is witnessing growth in the higher double digits.
The company noted that rising industrialisation and infrastructure development have been key factors driving demand for power cables in the State. The flexible cables segment, in particular, is seeing strong traction, with compound annual growth rates estimated at over 30–40 per cent.
Additionally, demand for communication and optical fibre cables is on the rise, fuelled by increased activity in data centre projects and broader digital infrastructure investments across Tamil Nadu.
