Chennai-based Funskool, India’s largest toy manufacturer, is in advanced discussions with global toy giant Mattel, known for brands like Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Jurassic World, to manufacture Mattel products at Funskool’s facility in Goa.
Funskool CEO K.A. Shabir confirmed that talks are progressing well, signaling a potential milestone partnership that could further strengthen India’s position as a global toy manufacturing hub.
While Funskool had initially projected 30% export growth for FY26, the company now expects export growth to moderate to around 20–22% by September, according to Shabir.
Currently, Funskool’s market distribution includes 33% sales in India, 27% in the United States, and 35% in Europe, reflecting its strong international footprint.
