Uttar Pradesh is set to establish its first specialized university dedicated to forestry and horticulture in the Campierganj area of Gorakhpur. Spanning 50 hectares in Bharaibaisi, the proposed campus carries an estimated budget of over ₹491 crore. It will feature state-of-the-art academic and administrative blocks, student hostels, staff housing, advanced research labs, and dedicated farmer-training centers. The university will offer undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma programs across fields such as forestry, horticulture, wildlife conservation, and natural resource management. District authorities and the forest department are finalizing preparations for the foundation stone-laying ceremony, expected to be led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
