Gurugram to Get New Bus Terminal on Dwarka Expressway

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has announced plans to develop a new state-of-the-art bus terminal in Sector 103, aimed at enhancing public transport connectivity along the upper Dwarka Expressway corridor.

The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) has been appointed as the project management consultant to prepare the concept plan and detailed project report (DPR). The terminal will be built on a 7.18-acre plot recently transferred from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG). Once complete, the facility will accommodate up to 150 buses and include parking bays, operational areas, and maintenance infrastructure.

The site has been strategically selected due to its proximity to the upcoming Sheetla Mata Medical College and Hospital, expected to become a major transit hub.

“The development of the bus depot in Sector 103 is part of our ongoing efforts to build sustainable and reliable public transportation,” said R.D. Singhal, Chief General Manager (Mobility Division), GMDA. “By expanding the bus network and upgrading infrastructure, we aim to reduce dependence on private vehicles and encourage eco-friendly mobility.”

At present, Gurugram runs 159 buses across 24 routes, supported by depots in Sectors 10 and 52. An electric bus depot is also under construction in Sector 48 to accommodate the city’s growing e-bus fleet.
