Gurugram's Rajiv Chowk Set for a Major Traffic Makeover

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has finalized the alignment for new flyovers at Gurugram's busy Rajiv Chowk. Designed to decongest the area, the elevated corridor will run along the service road connecting Delhi and Sohna. While pending land clearances from the Department of Telecommunications are being ironed out, tenders are slated to be floated in 2027. Additionally, the underused and waterlogging-prone non-motorised transport facility at the junction will be permanently closed for commuter safety. These updates were recently reviewed during the 12th District Coordination Committee meeting, which also addressed pedestrian upgrades around Sector 29 and the Rajiv Chowk–Sadar Bazar corridor.
