HCLTech’s ₹14,257 Crore AI Bet in Odisha

HCLTech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Odisha to set up a state-of-the-art Global Technology Centre in Bhubaneswar. Backed by a ₹14,257 crore investment, the facility will house HCLTech’s first AI data centre within the upcoming Odisha Sovereign AI Park, developed in partnership with Sarvam. Scheduled to launch operations by 2028, the centre is set to generate nearly 5,000 jobs and deliver enterprise-grade, AI-led digital solutions worldwide. Beyond direct employment, HCLTech plans to collaborate with local universities and state initiatives to nurture talent and advance next-generation digital skills across the region.
