HFCL Invests ₹215 Cr in Next-Gen Data Centre Hub

HFCL has approved an investment of Rs 215 crore to set up an advanced manufacturing facility for data centre connectivity products, strengthening its presence in the digital infrastructure segment.

The proposed plant will produce high-performance connectivity solutions, including miniature multi-fiber (MMC) and super high-density multi-fiber termination (SNMT) assemblies, which are widely used in AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centres, cloud computing, high-performance computing and high-speed networking applications. The facility will have an annual production capacity of 270,000 assemblies and is targeted for commissioning by September 2027.

The project is expected to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities, expand HFCL's advanced optical connectivity portfolio, enhance its competitiveness in global optical networking markets, and support the growing demand from both domestic and international customers while contributing to India's electronics and telecom manufacturing ecosystem.
