IRCON International has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Meghalaya Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation for the construction of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across eight locations in Meghalaya.
Awarded under Package-II, the Rs 510.46 crore project will be executed on an EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) basis, with a 36-month completion timeline. The EMRS scheme is a key government initiative aimed at delivering quality residential education for tribal students in remote areas.
This project marks IRCON’s growing role in social infrastructure development, expanding its portfolio beyond railways into education and rural empowerment. It also aligns with Meghalaya’s broader push for inclusive infrastructure growth.
