Kaynes Semicon x Japan: A New Era for Indian Chips

Kaynes Semicon, a subsidiary of Kaynes Technology India, has announced strategic partnerships with Japan-based AOI Electronics and Mitsui & Co. to support its upcoming semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Under the technology partnership with AOI Electronics, Kaynes Semicon will gain access to advanced back-end semiconductor capabilities, including advanced packaging, panel-level packaging, and wafer-level redistribution layer technologies. This collaboration will enable the company to provide end-to-end back-end semiconductor solutions to global customers across the automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and communications sectors. “This collaboration is a significant step forward in our mission to build high-value semiconductor capabilities in India,” said Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon.

In parallel, the alliance with Mitsui & Co. will ensure dependable access to critical raw materials such as lead frames, molding compounds, specialty gases, and semiconductor-grade chemicals. Together, these partnerships are aimed at strengthening India’s position as an emerging global hub for semiconductor manufacturing.
