"Make in India" Gets a $500M Boost from Delta Electronics

Taiwan-based Delta Electronics will invest USD 500 million in India as part of its expansion under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Since entering the market in 2003, the company’s Indian arm has made significant strides.

At Elecrama 2025 in Greater Noida, Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, emphasized India as a strategic market. He highlighted Delta’s commitment to industrial and energy transformation, focusing on local innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainability.

A major portion of the investment will go towards expanding the Krishnagiri facility, which is expected to begin operations by late 2025. Located 90 km from Bengaluru, the facility will focus on electric mobility solutions, including fast EV charging infrastructure, telecom products like DC converters and rectifiers, and energy-efficient data center technologies.
