MB Road’s Big Fix: PWD Invites ₹144 Cr Bids for New Drainage

Public Works Department Delhi has invited bids to improve the drainage system along MB Road under Sub-Division 24 of Division South East Road-2 in New Delhi.

The project involves constructing a precast reinforced cement concrete (RCC) box drain from Batra Hospital to Pul Prahladpur Railway Under Bridge, with an estimated cost of ₹144.63 crore. The initiative is aimed at upgrading existing drainage infrastructure to tackle waterlogging and enhance stormwater management efficiency.

With a completion timeline of 24 months from the start of work, the project will include detailed construction of the drainage network along the specified stretch, improving water flow capacity and reducing flood risks during heavy rainfall.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 11, 2026.
