Elista has rolled out its first Smart TV unit from its newly inaugurated manufacturing facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the state’s growing electronics manufacturing sector.
In a key boost to India’s export and manufacturing capabilities, the company also dispatched its first export consignment—650 premium Smart TVs ranging from 43 to 85 inches, valued at ₹2.55 crore, to Dubai under the India-Dubai Free Trade Agreement.
Developed with a phased investment of ₹250 crore, the 1.32 lakh sq. ft. facility has an annual production capacity of one million Smart TVs and LED monitors in its first phase. Phase 2 will expand the product portfolio to include washing machines, dishwashers, and smart accessories.
Strategically located near Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports, the plant is well-positioned for rapid export logistics. It currently employs over 200 skilled professionals, with plans to generate 500 additional jobs. The facility integrates automated assembly lines, robotics, and sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting and solar energy utilization.
Elista also announced a localized Smart TV interface to promote regional content, reinforcing its commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and an export-led growth strategy.
