National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML) and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Sarbananda Sonowal to develop a state-of-the-art Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Spanning 150 acres, the MMLP will be strategically connected to NH-7 via a 650-meter access road and is just 1.5 km from the NH7-NH2 junction. It will also link to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor through a 5.1 km railway line from Jeonathpur Station and integrate with National Waterway-1. Additionally, Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport is located just 30 km away, further enhancing connectivity.
This project is set to attract significant investments, create employment opportunities, and boost trade efficiency, strengthening the logistics sector in the region.
