NMC Fast-Tracks Land Deals for Tapovan Sadhugram Expansion

Nashik is gearing up for the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela as the Municipal Corporation kicks off the permanent acquisition of 191 acres at Tapovan for Sadhugram. Designed to house visiting seers and pilgrims, the project relies on a joint measurement survey and a fast-tracked valuation by the district administration to settle landowner compensation. Although 377 acres total have been designated as a no-development zone for the gathering, securing this initial chunk of land marks a critical first step in the city's infrastructure timeline, according to NMC Commissioner Manisha Khatri.
