NMRDA’s ₹11,300 Crore Vision Set to Take Center Stage in Mumbai

The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) is set to present its ambitious ₹11,300 crore infrastructure vision, including the flagship "New Nagpur" project, to global and domestic stakeholders at the Real Estate and Infrastructure Investors’ Summit in Mumbai on 3 September. Designed as a next-generation business, financial, and technology hub, New Nagpur will feature an International Business and Financial Centre spanning 1,710 acres across Hingna taluka's Godhani and Ladgaon areas. Implementation will follow a phased 15-year master plan, launching initially with a 1,000-acre modern development footprint.

Supported by project consultant NBCC and an ₹11,300 crore funding framework from HUDCO—covering core land acquisition, district infrastructure, and the Nagpur Outer Ring Road—the development is engineered for high-tech commercial growth. New Nagpur will integrate underground utility tunnels, district cooling, automated waste management, and dedicated zones tailored for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), IT firms, and MSMEs. Capitalizing on Nagpur’s prime central location and robust multi-modal connectivity via the Samruddhi Expressway, metro network, and airport, the Mumbai summit aims to secure developer equity, institutional capital, and key commercial occupiers to drive execution.
