Omar Abdullah Inspects New J&K Legislative Assembly Complex

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted an on-site inspection of the new Legislative Assembly Complex currently under construction near the Civil Secretariat. Joined by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and senior administration officials, the Chief Minister urged executing agencies to maintain momentum and meet quality standards.

Designed as a modern six-storey facility, the complex includes an Assembly Hall, Central Hall, multiple committee rooms, and high-tech infrastructure management systems. Highlighting the timeline, Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary noted that construction is scheduled to wrap up by October 2027, paving the way for the 2028 legislative budget session to convene in the new premises.
