Delhi Jal Board has floated a tender for the large-scale development of internal and peripheral sewer infrastructure under Package 7, covering Bajitpur Thakran and Auchandi GoC in the Bawana constituency.
The project, valued at approximately ₹305.97 crore, spans 18 unauthorized colonies and 12 villages. The scope of work includes providing, laying, jointing, testing, and commissioning sewer pipelines ranging from 300 mm to 630 mm in diameter. The contract also includes construction of manholes, house service connections, and full road restoration after pipeline installation.
The project will involve complex on-ground execution activities, including traffic diversion management and deployment of specialised machinery such as hydra cranes and JCBs for excavation and pipe installation, particularly at drain-crossing locations.
The infrastructure upgrade is aimed at modernising sanitation facilities and improving sewer connectivity for thousands of residents in the region. The overall completion timeline for the contract is 21 months, including 18 months for core construction work and an additional three months for final integration and stabilisation activities.
Interested bidders have been invited to submit proposals by June 3, 2026.
