PPP Model to Power Amaravati's Mega Medicity Dream

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to develop a global mega Medicity in Amaravati through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, as recently announced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the media in Amaravati, Naidu revealed that the Medicity will cover 200 acres of land—100 acres allocated for healthcare services, 40 acres for residential purposes, and 20 acres designated for commercial development. The project will be carried out collaboratively by the state’s Health Department and the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).

“This project aims to significantly improve healthcare infrastructure and bolster health tourism in the state,” Naidu stated.

He further mentioned that the Central government is planning to establish 25 Medicities across India, with ongoing discussions to bring one of them to Amaravati.
