In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure, RMZ and Colt Data Centres have joined forces to invest ₹1.77 lakh crore into a flagship 1.25 GW data centre facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Following approval from the State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC), a 200-acre site in Jagnadhapuram village (Anandapuram) has been earmarked for the project. Formalized through a landmark MoU at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the multi-phase development will run from 2027 to 2036, breaking ground on its initial phase within 37 months.
Benefiting from the AP Data Centre Policy 4.0, this mega-facility will deliver over 20% of Andhra Pradesh's ambitious 6 GW state target, cementing the region's position as an emerging tech and data hub.
