In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure, Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the Amended BharatNet Phase-III Project, with a bid valued at ₹2,125 crore.
The project marks a significant step toward bridging the rural-urban digital divide by strengthening optical fiber networks and delivering robust last-mile broadband access to rural villages. In alignment with the national vision of Digital India and Viksit Bharat, this expansion will provide reliable high-speed connectivity to underserved communities, paving the way for improved access to digital education, healthcare, e-governance, and critical public services.
