The Future is AI-Ready: Inside L&T Vyoma’s New 40 MW Hub

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Vyoma, the digital infrastructure arm of L&T, has marked a major milestone in India’s digital transformation with the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for its upcoming 40 MW AI-ready, green data centre at Mahape in Navi Mumbai.

The facility represents the first phase of a planned 100 MW data centre campus in the city and is positioned to set new benchmarks for sustainable, high-performance digital infrastructure in India. The data centre will support enterprise, build-to-suit, and NeoCloud workloads, offering advanced high-density computing capabilities. It will also incorporate Direct-to-Chip liquid cooling technology to efficiently manage AI-intensive workloads. Designed with sustainability at its core, the facility will operate on renewable energy to minimise its carbon footprint.

Commenting on the development, R Shankar Raman, President and CFO of L&T, said, “Digital infrastructure is the bedrock of national progress. Through L&T Vyoma, we are leveraging our engineering heritage to build a sovereign and sustainable digital ecosystem that ensures India’s growth is powered by world-class, indigenous capabilities. Our new Navi Mumbai facility reflects our vision of ‘Vyoma’—limitless, intelligent, and sustainable AI-ready digital growth.”
