UP Cabinet Clears Private Takeover of Lucknow’s JPNIC

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved a 30-year lease for Lucknow's Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) to a private consortium comprising Brindavan Bottlers and Rockwood Hotels and Resorts. Selected as the highest bidder, the private operators will complete, manage, and make financial payments to the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) for the facility. Once finished, the multi-purpose complex will feature a museum alongside dedicated sports, recreational, and multi-level parking amenities. The lease includes an option for a 25-year renewal.
