UP’s Next Tech Giant: The TEEMA-YEIDA Tech Park

Uttar Pradesh may soon host a technology park of the Taiwan Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region emerging as a leading contender for the proposed Indian facility.

The initiative is part of TEEMA’s first phase of global expansion, which includes India, the United States, Mexico, and Poland, and is being spearheaded by Foxconn Chairman and TEEMA head Young Liu. According to sources, the technology park is likely to be developed in the YEIDA region, close to Foxconn’s upcoming outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing (OSAT) facility, creating a closely integrated manufacturing ecosystem.

“The tech park may come up in the YEIDA region, close to Foxconn’s upcoming OSAT facility,” a person familiar with the development said.

The project aims to establish AI-integrated and ESG-focused smart manufacturing hubs to strengthen Taiwan’s electronics supply chain on a global scale. The initiative is being led by former Foxconn India head V. Lee, in collaboration with Foxconn and Taiwanese engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm CTCI. It seeks to support companies in managing geopolitical risks while expanding overseas manufacturing capacity and export capabilities.
