WTC Comes to Chengalpattu in Major ₹7,000 Cr Township Deal

Real estate developer GT Bharathi has received a licence from the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) to develop a World Trade Center in Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu.

The project will form the centrepiece of a 150-acre integrated, IT-focused mixed-use township, with an estimated development value of around ₹7,000 crore. The development will place GT Bharathi within the WTCA’s global network of more than 300 World Trade Center businesses across nearly 100 countries and territories.

The proposed WTC is expected to strengthen the region’s commercial and IT ecosystem, with the full development projected to generate more than 1 lakh jobs. GT Bharathi will become one of the key developers operating under the WTC brand in South India.

Bengaluru-based Brigade Group has previously developed a World Trade Center project in Chennai.
