Zetwerk Electronics, a division of Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses, inaugurated its largest electronics manufacturing facility in Pannur, Tamil Nadu, on March 15, 2025. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, while inaugurating the facility, stated, “With Zetwerk launching its 7th factory, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Indian companies in becoming global leaders.”
The state-of-the-art facility, part of a ₹1,000 crore investment, will produce control boards for consumer durables and IT hardware. It features advanced manufacturing capabilities, including five surface-mount technology (SMT) lines and stringent quality testing processes. Once fully operational, it will employ 1,200 professionals.
Spanning 15 acres, the facility will strengthen India’s Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, supporting the country’s goal of a $500 billion ESDM industry and Tamil Nadu’s $1 trillion economic vision. Established in 2021, Zetwerk offers comprehensive electronics manufacturing services (EMS). Additionally, the Minister announced two major Electronics Manufacturing Clusters worth ₹1,112 crore at Pillaipakkam and Manallur to further boost Tamil Nadu’s electronics sector.
