Rayalaseema Rising: Kurnool’s Rs 4,200+ Crore Horticulture Revolution

Kurnool is set for a major horticulture-led economic boost under the state's "Global Horticulture Hub - Rayalaseema Rising" initiative. Led by District Collector A Siri, the comprehensive plan focuses on strengthening the value chain, optimizing water management, and improving market access. Key investments include Rs 2,019 crore for critical irrigation projects—such as the Vedavathi project (covering nearly 80,000 acres), capacity upgrades, and 111 minor irrigation tanks—alongside a Rs 2,200-crore outlay for rural connectivity and horticulture infrastructure.
