The fully explored blocks alone have a peak rated capacity (PRC) of 5.25 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The round witnessed strong participation, recording an average revenue share of 26.70%.
These blocks are projected to:

Attract capital investment of Rs 787.50 crore, and
Create employment for over 7,000 people.
Since the launch of commercial coal mining in 2020, 131 coal blocks have been auctioned, with a total production capacity of 277.31 MTPA, underscoring India’s ongoing efforts to liberalise and strengthen its coal sector.
