STG Associates Secures ₹596 Cr Coal Mining Contract from BCCL

Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL) has awarded a contract worth ₹596.40 crore to STG Associates for coal handling and comprehensive mining support services at the Bassuriya Gondudi Patch S mine in the Kusunda Area of Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

The contract encompasses a broad range of mining operations, including coal handling and transportation, deployment of heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM) for overburden removal, coal extraction and dispatch, firefighting activities, and coal crushing operations. The project is aimed at ensuring efficient mine development and supporting uninterrupted production activities at the site.

The scope of work includes systematic removal of overburden, extraction of coal reserves, and safe transportation of coal to designated destinations, alongside measures to enhance operational safety and productivity. By integrating multiple mining support functions under a single contract, the project is expected to improve efficiency and optimize resource utilization across the mining area.

The award further strengthens STG Associates’ position in the coal mining services sector while supporting BCCL’s efforts to enhance production capacity and operational performance. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the streamlined development and management of mining operations in the Bassuriya Gondudi area.
