Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in scientific instrumentation and life sciences solutions, is set to launch two major facilities in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, by the end of 2025, reinforcing its commitment to India’s biopharma ecosystem.
The upcoming Bioprocess Design Centre (BDC), developed in collaboration with the Telangana Government, will provide expertise in bioprocess development and scale-up, supporting the rapid advancement of novel therapeutics. Alongside, the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) will showcase cutting-edge instrumentation and workflow solutions in areas such as molecular biology, proteomics, clinical diagnostics, and cell and gene therapy.
The CEC will also function as a hub for method development, technology demonstration, and workforce upskilling, backed by subject matter experts.
Announced during the Biopharma Conclave 2025 in Hyderabad, Tony Acciarito, President for Asia Pacific & MENA at Thermo Fisher Scientific, stated: “India’s biopharma sector is poised for a giant leap, and we are deeply committed to enabling that outcome.”
