REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has issued a tender to enhance transmission infrastructure in Karnataka, supporting the integration of an additional 3 GW of renewable energy into the grid.
The contract focuses on critical upgrades in Davanagere (0.25 GW) and Bellary (2.75 GW) — key zones in Karnataka’s green energy expansion plan. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the required transmission systems.
This initiative is part of a broader national strategy to enhance renewable energy evacuation capacity and grid stability, reinforcing India’s commitment to a cleaner energy future. Strengthening the grid infrastructure is vital to ensure efficient power distribution and accommodate the country's growing renewable energy portfolio.
The bid submission deadline is November 28, 2025.
