AP Gets World Economic Forum's Energy Resilience Center

The Andhra Pradesh government has entered into an agreement with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to set up a Centre for Energy and Cyber Resilience, focused on safeguarding the state’s power infrastructure.

The partnership was formalised on the final day of the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The new Centre will work toward strengthening energy security through advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the event, the Chief Minister reiterated the state’s goal of generating 160 GW of green energy while minimising transmission losses. This collaboration aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader strategy to promote sustainable and cost-efficient energy solutions.

CM Naidu also announced that the summit resulted in ₹13 lakh crore worth of investment commitments, projected to create 30 lakh jobs. Andhra Pradesh will host next year’s edition of the summit in Visakhapatnam as well.
