Enrich Energy Wins Big: A 290 MWh Storage Milestone

Enrich Energy, an Indian solar EPC company, has secured a major contract with NTPC to deploy a 290 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at NTPC’s Simhadri thermal power plant near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The project is part of NTPC’s larger 2,334 MWh energy storage initiative aimed at integrating battery storage systems with thermal power stations across states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Under the agreement, Enrich Energy will handle end-to-end execution, including installation, system integration with existing infrastructure, remote monitoring and control, as well as operations and maintenance (O&M).

This development marks a strategic expansion for the Pune-based company, which has established expertise in solar EPC services and is now strengthening its presence in the energy storage segment.

In addition, Enrich Energy is currently executing several turnkey BESS projects for private commercial and industrial clients, with commissioning expected in the near term, according to Managing Director Ankit Kanchal.
