Jindal Stainless Taps Greenzo for Landmark Green Hydrogen Project

Greenzo Energy India has secured a landmark order from Jindal Stainless (JSL), India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, for the supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art green hydrogen electrolyser plant at JSL’s Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur, Odisha.

The plant is designed to produce 472,409 kg per year (approximately 0.47 KTPA) of high-purity green hydrogen, scalable up to 1.5 KTPA. It will supply 5,256,000 Nm³/year of hydrogen for critical stainless steel manufacturing processes, including the Bright Annealing Line and Bell Furnace. Delivery and commissioning are scheduled within six months of contract signing.

At the heart of the project is Greenzo’s fully indigenous alkaline bipolar electrolyser, which operates at 30 bar pressure and delivers hydrogen at 99.99999% purity. The system features integrated SCADA and AI-based automation for real-time monitoring and optimization. As part of the contract, Greenzo will provide 30 days of on-site training and 11 months of virtual support to JSL’s technical team.

This initiative aligns with JSL’s ESG and net-zero goals and underscores Greenzo Energy’s leadership in indigenous hydrogen technology under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
